Fantasy flight sent me the Warhammer expansion "Hidden kingdoms" that I worked on last year and my contribution for it "Imperial embassy". I am pretty pleased how it came out and it was fun to work on it. Not so pleased that they spelled my last name wrong :) haha well shit happens.
Done in oils, trying to learn more about it so just played around with trying to render shapes and such. Really like the feeling oils has, tricky and has no ctrl-z :) feels alot like playing dark souls.
Having so much doing the 30 min sketches, some are really tricky and I struggle some to keep up the pace. Other one just flow along and it feels really good, I am inspired by other awesome artists in the dailyspit paint group and try to get better at it. And yeah, I've started to watch some "True detective" hence the song :) like it a lot so far. Haven't got hooked by any other crime/detective shows since x-files if that counts as one, so its fun to have something to watch and follow :)
Creature concept, he is a bird/lizard hybrid that has its nests on the ground. Scavenges for food near the poisonous bogs. It has a sharp beak and can deliver powerful sweeps with its tail, it is blind and therefore pretty slow but uses the rest of its senses.
"Forest shrine" 30 min sketch. Lots of fun working on this one, trying to get better at environments.
